You are challenged by Elite Four Skywalker!
(Spoiler alert, he also has a Vikavolt, Volcarona, and Rabsca)
Hope you brought a fire type
@formvienthusiast you are absolutely correct that Anakin is a bug catcher! The vibe is so correct. I think deoxys is like, his partner pokemon and the only outlier because "chosen one" lol He's a special space boy so he gets a special space pokemon!! (also the combination blue and red in deoxys and Ani's blue to red lightsaber yk? maybe i just think a lot about symbolism who knows)

have been putting together Iliaster Pokemon Teams off and on fooooor the last couple months or so... I always like to put way too much thought into teams so under the cut I have all my reasonings for these choices. I like Pokemon and I like these characters a Perfectly Normal Amount <3
BRUNO/ANTINOMY:
Lucario: feels just very much like a good partner Pokemon for him...same shade of blue, very noble and loyal, EXTREME SPEED!! something something Lucario's innate aura reading and ability to sense emotions and thoughts vs. Bruno's complicated quest to figure out who he is. I think they would be friends!!! It gets amnesia too in whatever funny Pokemon AU Bruno's situation happens in
Skitty: obligatory Bruno kitty cat pokemon <3
Armarouge: T.G. Halberd Cannon/Blade Blaster type vibes, its pauldrons literally turn into a cannon, fire type echoing the sun in the Antinomy/Yusei duel, also a very loyal Pokemon. Plus bonus counterpart to Primo's Ceruledge >:3c
Rotom: silly little guy who likes motors and electronics and machinery!! Also Bruno having a ghost type and being. yknow. a robotic copy of a dead man. I think it suits him.
Yanmega: T.G. Recipro Dragonfly, it literally has eyes covered with a red visor, it's super fast and its design echoes a vehicle (aircraft rather than motorcycle, but still.)
Registeel/Regieleki: in Tag Force 6 Bruno uses and seems to really like Machina Fortress, so I wanted to give him a big 'ol bulky Steel Type. Antinomy gets Regieleki as a counterpart because it's literally The Fastest Pokemon, probably great for Delta Accel Synchro <3 Also Modern Age/electricity/android type invocations...
Porygon/Porygon2: Bruno needs a boxy little computer friend!! Antinomy gettin the evolved form since a big part of Porygon2's lore is that it was made for space travel...thinkin bout that duel again. The Porygon line, Porygon2 especially, also has a really similar color palette to Bruno's various forms!
Miraidon: ok ive seen people give Jack Miraidon and i get it, it's his color palette, BUT LIKE. THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BRUNO POKEMON EVER. literal robot motorcycle from the future who washes up on the beach with limited memories!!! it has a silly goofy friendly form and a badass powered up fighter form!!! it can be the perfect counterpart to Yusei having a Koraidon!!! LISTEN.
LESTER:
Skarmory: Meklord Emperor Skiel of course!!! Violent metal bird moment!!
Wingull: in the Tag Force games Lester really likes the Stuffed Seagull Plush item and I think that's just so cute
Zorua: Little red-haired mischief-maker that can create illusions and false appearances?? IT'S PERFECT FOR HIM.
Klang: From the episode when he infiltrated the twins' school, he used Gear Golem the Moving Fortress....gotta give him some gears.
Durant: Skiel Guard! Little weird metal bugaboo :]
Iron Bundle: challenging myself to give all the Iliaster members (aside from Z-one) Future Paradox Pokemon...Lester of course gets the Bird one. It even shoots a laser like Skiel does!!
PRIMO:
Bisharp: god his whole team is just Mean Blade Guys but like. Look at Him. That's Primo. the way Bisharp commands an army of Pawniard the way Primo commands the Diablo also relevant.
Ceruledge: This is kind of the Primo Pokemon of All Time For Me--haunted grudge-powered knight that "cuts its enemies to pieces without mercy" with sword arms infused with "the lingering resentment of a sword wielder who fell before accomplishing their goal"--like... COME ON. DUDE.
Mega Beedrill: gotta shout out the iconic bee commentary of course, and also it's Another Violent Pokemon With Sharp Dangerous Blade-like Arms.
Melmetal: MEKLORD EMPEROR WISEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Scizor: Metal-clad evolution of a blade-armed beast, also violent and merciless. And it does the thing where it uses its pincers to look like it has three heads--funny for one of Aporia's components~
Iron Valiant: ANOTHER PRIMO POKEMON OF ALL TIME FROM GEN 9. LIKE!!! White robot with a big dangerous sword, created by a mad science supposedly, "said to be cruel enough to take its brilliantly shining blade and cut down anyone confronting it without hesitation"... THEY CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT
JAKOB:
Mega Aggron: Granel <3 Big fuckoff metal monster. I also thought it would be fun to try and give the Three Nobles each a pure Steel type Pokemon for the Robot Funsies.
Barraskewda: For Granel's bizarrely fish-like canons and components--Barraskewda also being based on a projectile weapon a bonus, too.
Skeledirge: GOTTA give one of the Nobles something that ties into their sub opera singer namesakes, plus Skeledirge's Spanish influence is perfect for Jakob/Jose. And its an aquatic-based animal like all of Granel's components, too :^)
Alolan Golem: For Jakob's big old beard and eyebrow, PLUS it's a grumpy stubborn beast that launches electric rock blasts. Just suits him imo.
Ursaring: gave myself the added challenge of giving The Three Nobles each an unevolved Pokemon that Aporia has the fully evolved form of.... Jakob gets Ursaring for their matching surly expression and eye(s) plus the Guts ability boosting Attack when inflicted with a status effect is perfect for the Gaining Power Through Suffering motif of these guys <3
Iron Hands: Freakishly powerful big bulky electric robot monster!!! Yellow color motif like Granel!!! probably one of the most Meklord-y Paradox Pokemon, to me.
PARADOX sidenote it's so fucked up he just doesnt have a tag force sprite. sad!
Origin Dialga: Since his whole deal in BBT is having a deck of stolen Legendary Iconic Dragon Cards, i GOTTA indulge and give Paradox a bunch of Legendary Dragon Pokemon!!! Origin Dialga is for the time travel and also it's just a bizarre creature that feels on par with Malefic Paradox and Truth Dragon tbh. Plus it was created by Arceus, and Pdox was created by Z-one <3
Zekrom: GEE PARADOX WHY DOES YOUR MOM LET YOU HAVE TWO UNOVA DRAGONS... he's got that whole black and white color motif with his mask/the Malefic dragon armor. And Zekrom's got an engine...like a motorcycle...
Reshiram: Beautiful long haired bishie of a dragon plus the aforementioned black and white motifs. Also the concept of wanting to make a true AND ideal new future is really fun and kind of Very at play with Paradox~
Espathra: A.) im a Psychic Duelist Paradox truther, I rly wanted to give him a Psychic type, B.) Espathra is a violent weirdo that literally has his hair color palette/style. In my mind's eye this was his partner Pokemon originally ....Paradox with a Flittle is so funny to me.
Roaring Moon: if anyone deserves an Ancient AND Future Paradox Pokemon it's... WELL. THIS GUY. Malefics are almost all Dark Dragons so give him the freakish vicious Dragon/Dark that's like a twisted version of an existing monster (much like how Malefics are twisted versions of existing cards ;])
Iron Treads: Successfully continuing to give all the Iliaster guys Future pdox 'mons...Iron Treads is a big robot tire effectively which works great for a guy who motorcycles through time!!!
SHERRY:
Lunala: For that freaky Soul Binding Gate skeleton door, also a Pokemon that is brought under Necrozma's (Z-one's) power. Sherry having Lunala and Aporia having Solgaleo also just makes me a little insane.
Florges: FRENCH. FLOWER LADY. EASY PICK.
Rapidash: For Horse of the Floral Knights/Sherry's horse shaped duel runner...i love that she's a horse girl 🥴
Teddiursa: For that TEDDY BEAR!!! And also, again, her having a Pokemon from the same line as Pokemon Aporia has is just a fun detail for me.
Tsareena: 100% female. Floral Knights/Chevalier le Fleur. Kicks and fights triumphantly.
Iron Leaves: in general Virizion is already a perfect Sherry 'mon (grass horse, based on French literature, etc.) and I imagine she originally had one before it somehow Became an Iron Leaves when she joined Iliaster :^)
APORIA:
Solgaleo: i mean. He Just Looks Exactly Like One!!!! Also Steel/Psychic is a really good type for this big miserable monster lion angel robot. Plus it can be controlled by Necrozma.
Kingambit: Evolved form of Primo's Bisharp, a powerful and intense leader that fights primarily with brute strength. It's also got an ability that boosts its power the more of its allies fall (die <3) Power through suffering!!!
Silvally: Synthetic chimera of mishmashed fused parts created in a lab :) Can only evolve and reach its true potential through friendship :))) also giving him Silvally and Z-one Arceus just to make myself a little sick in the head.
Klingklang: Evolved form of Lester's Klang, mechanical 'mon that echoes the Ark Cradle's Sun Gear(s) that Aporia protects
Ursaluna: Evolve form of Jakob's Ursaring, hulking powerful bear with big claws and a back sail that looks exactly like Aporia's big metal halo.
Iron Jugulis: MEKLORD ASTRO DRAGON TRISKELION!!!! also a hydra like Aporia's duel runner >:D
Z-ONE:
Necrozma: first of all it kind of looks like Z-one's freaky life support+huge claws contraption second of all something something Infinite Light vs. Necrozma being a light consuming monster third of all the way it can dominate and lord over Solgaleo and Lunala. pounds my fists on the pavement.
Celebi: HE'S THE BIG BAD HE GETS AS MANY LEGENDARIES AS HE WANTS and he needs Celebi of course. Time Angel :)
Omastar: Freaky ancient Pokemon that resembles the nautilus shape of Z-one's contraption...also there's something about fossils being kept alive in there somewhere I'm sure.
Mimikyu: this is like. perfect for him tbh HDHGSDFG Wears the guise of another Pokemon and pretends to be it (and I would definitely give Yusei a Pikachu,) reacts with violence and panic when pushed into a corner, Fairy type (like all the Timelords are), competitively can fill the niche of being Difficult and full of underhanded status effects and tactics and I think that's just lovely for Z-one <3 In my mind's eye I like to think this was his partner Pokemon from even before The Yusei Factkinning Event.
Bloodmoon Ursaluna: Well it's literally got the odd 'device' clamped over one of its (weird glowing) eyes and also. For Aporia <3 That's Aporia <33 Z-one's giant time-displaced apex predator with a big weird circle on its forehead <3333
Arceus: THAT'S GOD BABEYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#yugioh 5ds#iliaster#ygo posting#WHEEEEE POKEMON AU MACHINE GO BANANAS WHEEEEEE#i would like to make t5ds teams too but its been hard to figure them out so far...will ponder further....#iliasterliker9000#come on and get your pokemon

file too big for tumblr so you get a youtube video but HIII I DID IT!! I BEAT THORTON!!! I GOT THE GOLD PRINT BABEY I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS TO HAPPEN TONIGHT!! months of on and off grinding and then 3 days straight of doing this nearly all my waking hours and losing so many streaks and I DID IT!!! this is one of the hardest things you can do in gen 4 ever i think i'm losing my mind. pthgss battle factory does NOT fuck around
some commentary below the cut if you're interested in my thoughts/strategy while doing this
when i saw whiscash i swapped into scizor because i thought it was safe and i wanted to preserve weavile's strength, speed, and fake out for later... and i did my calcs wrong. i've been hunched over calculators and spreadsheets for hours to have the best odds of winning this streak and somehow i was calculating doubles damage instead of singles so EQ was stronger than i expected. embarrassingly i didn't notice this until someone pointed it out to me after the fact LOL. i don't even know how i didn't catch it, of course EQ does more damage, it's STAB!! so that was actually a pretty damn dangerous switch! but he missed stone edge i am BLESSED stone edge more like stone MISS AHAHAHAFSDKFSDAL
anyway after whiscash was down i let entei take out my scizor because scizor is slow and was already on low HP, if i tried to preserve it it would probably just get outsped and die to a legendary or something later. and entei had two dangerous sets in particular it could possibly be so i really needed to scout its fire move. tbh when i saw entei my heart sank, i knew my team was really weak to fire and that it could be a problem but i just never found any good pokemon to swap while climbing round 7. i just hoped that garchomp resisting and having earthquake would suffice... but the entei had a shuca berry (halves a super effective ground hit) so outrage actually did more damage. if entei crit me at any point it would have been over but otherwise it would have been impossible to take out garchomp in two hits thankfully. and i had a persim berry if outrage ended in two turns and confused me. but didn't end up mattering!
my heart SANK when the focus band proc'd on latios (a 10% chance) but then i was like YES!! THIS IS WHAT WEAVILE HAS BEEN WAITING FOR!! THERE'S NO WAY IT PROCS TWO MORE TIMES IN A ROW RIGHT?! because weavile using fake out would give me a chance, and then if focus band proc'd again, the flinch from fake out would let me get a second turn and weavile outspeeds that latios SO it was pretty safe unless i got insanely unlucky. AND IT WORKED OUT!!!!
i dunno if i deserved this win because my round 6 (the round before this one) was INCREDIBLY lucky, like, i got the round 7 staraptor in my draft and it had choice band brave bird and just decimated EVERYTHING except a couple bronzongs which i had a strong vaporeon for, so... it was basically a freebie and then round 7 had some close calls but also i got garchomp from trading with the literal first trainer (who i almost lost to but shhh) and then all the stuff with scizor/whiscash... BUT. it's been long enough i'm TAKING IT
anyways POGGERS
i'm probs gonna upload this battle video to the dns exploit server later but i gotta wait for my parents to go to bed so i'm not interrupting them using wifi by turning on the gen 4 compatible guest wifi lol
(btw if you want to do factory yourself please look up smogon's resources on it and use calcs and stuff i promise without it it will be a living nightmare 10x more than it already is)

War and hate on planet earth.
SO this rider lady waltzes into my dinky little repair shop, right? (Porsha?? Porta? Whatever) Walks up to my counter and slams a Pokeball down. First I think she's asking for a battle, so I break out Roswell as backup. But THEN, she starts going on about how she "just found this ball lying around, and couldn't get it to open" and how "she justs wants to let the poor pokemon out." She goes on and on for like five minutes.
Anyways so I finally get a good look at this ball. It looks totally fine at first, no real signs of damage. I turn it around and there it is: reinforced hinges. I already hate repairing pokeballs and NOW I gotta try fixing a snag ball?? I did NOT wanna take that job.
And then the most beautiful thought appeared in my brain. Euphoria and peace washed over me, I skipped into heaven. 'I charge per hour,' I remembered vividly.
Between that, and the fact that I REALLY need the cash, I tell her I'll do it.
Let me tell you: that was a MISTAKE. It took me FIVE HOURS to break this thing open. I couldn't break the hinges, because she specifically asked to keep the ball intact. Not like I wanted some creature loose in my shop, either. Release button was fried, didn't show up on the PC, didn't respond to the magnets, nothing.
Eventually I give up and figure that I can just replace the hinges with a spare snag ball and call it good. So I get to prying the hinges open with some t-pins. Ball must've had some extra reinforcement, 'cause it took like 10 t-pins to set it properly. Kept crunching the thinner ones. Finally I twist something the right way, and it pops open. REALLY DIDN'T WANT THAT.
Out comes a shadow Scizor. Now don't get it twisted, I'm not one of those Cipher truther dipshits. But this ball, this Scizor. This was recent, I think. It was acting weird, even for a shadow Pokemon.
It seemed pretty out of it. Only noticed me as I was scrambling for the ball. Then it tried shadow rushing me. Roswell tanks it and I send the Scizor back into the ball. At least it works?? Was too busy recovering to really think about it.
'Course, since I'm a good Orrish person, I mind my Cel-damned business and keep my mouth shut. Got a feeling I'll see that Scizor around, anyways.
Body intact, ball intact, and 130 pokedollars richer. Not too shabby.

Pokemon Journeys Episode 135 Review
Pokemon Journeys Episode 135. Let’s review:
Here we are, second-to-last episode of Pokemon Journeys. How did things go?
Ehhh...
Let’s break down this episode from order of events.
First off, I’m not gonna beat around the bush here, but Ash’s reunion back at Pallet Town sucked. From reused animation from Episode 114 for Ash’s Pokemon to the general lack on fanfare, Ash really should’ve been giving much more respect upon arriving back home. Remember when the entire town gave Ash a whole party after winning Top 16 in the Kanto League? Not even Oak or Delia really give that much for Ash. Oak gives a rather basic poem and Delia, a lunch. And geez, guess Ash and Tracey really do secretly hate each other if Tracey’s gonna bounce right before Ash returns and Ash doesn’t even ask for him. And really, you’re not gonna have Ash’s Journeys team meet up with Ash’s old mons? Way to show respect to the guys who helped you train to actually be tough enough to stand against the Master 8 opponents, you pricks. Ash is a prick, too. Just gonna give a quick “hi” and “bye” to his old mons. So well fellow anipoke fans, give Ash’s old mons a good long look because we’re probably not gonna see them again for the next decade or two.
And now for Goh’s reunion with his mons at the Cerise Lab also sucked. One, apparently Goh brought Scizor, Flygon, and Golurk with him to his final trial? Could’ve been super helpful if you actually used them, my dude. Just saying. Two, yeah, this whole moment just feels too flat. Regardless of what I said with Ash’s Pokemon reunion, at least there’s some weight to it because these are mons we’ve seen Ash used and bond with over the years. Here, we BARELY know Goh’s Pokemon, many of which are just complete blank slates, so this whole moment just feels too hollow to actually care for. And thirdly, don’t think I missed Mimey’s miscolored face in the scene prior to this one. How do you fuck something like that so badly? It looks like he got a really bad tan!
While it’s nice to see Ash, Goh, and Chloe have a few moments together for the second-to-last episode, many of its parts either feel overly dragged out, completely pointless, or both. Like we get this long flashback sequence of Goh playing with this random wild Abra and learning about it as they spend more time together, but what’s the point? Many said it’s to show Goh’s lonely childhood or his talent of understanding dex-levels knowledge of Pokemon, things we’ve already known of Goh since the very beginning. The Spearow chase was a nice callback to Anipoke’s first ever episode, but then there was this Poliwag which could’ve been a REALLY good callback usage for Ash’s own time in Pokemon School when he met Serena, but no, can’t expect something like that as well.
Chloe’s parts also felt like a waste. She only barely recaps her own experience with Eevee... and doesn’t even acknowledge Yamper at all.
And then Goh throws a fit because he made a choice to go on a journey without Goh’s consent. This was supposed to be played for like a big, dramatic moment, but then the two just pass things off real easily next time they see each other through another “haha funny argument”. And of course, gotta end the episode with Ash and Goh and just that. Yeah, fuck Chloe, just Ash and Goh the whole way through because lol. SO looking forward to the two FINALLY splitting apart next episode...
Look, having Lugia come back is a nice callback to Journeys’ second episode, but you can never even come close to convince Goh, and let alone Cinderace and Inteleon, should be seen fighting in a similar level of skill to Ash after he had just defeated THREE FUCKING CHAMPIONS consecutively. And why was Goh flabbergasted at the thought of battling Lugia? He’s battled like 5 Legendaries as of now.
Anyways, gonna give this episode a 2/10. For Journeys’ second-to-last episode, what a boring drag.

Kamen Rider Pokemon AU thoughts under the read more bc i love both of these things and i need to combine them in my head
W cast:
Shotaro: A Honchkrow, given to him when it was just a baby Murkrow by the Boss. Shoutaro’s Honchkrow enjoys puffing up its own feathers, but it seems a little melancholy sometimes, too. Seems like it misses the Boss’ old Honchkrow.
Philip: Philip’s Espeon is often curled in his lap while he’s researching, and it keeps protective watch over his body when Philip becomes Double with Shoutaro.
Akiko: Akiko’s Purugly is quite pampered, and she spends a lot of time brushing its soft fur to perfection. Her Purugly is a bit boastful because of this. When it sees Akiko get her slipper from her back, it will dash behind the legs of her target so they can’t run away from Akiko.
Terui: Terui’s Scizor seems just as cool and collected as he is, but its actually quite shy. It’s an extremely capable fighter, chasing down enemy dopant’s pokemon as relentlessly as its owner.
OOO Cast:
Eiji: Eiji’s Goodra is incredibly friendly, and enjoys hugs! Eiji never seems to mind when it leaves slime all over his clothes (though certain prickly birds complain every time Goodra tries to hug them too). When Eiji struggles to control the purple medals, his Goodra becomes extremely distraught and fearful, to the point of rampaging alongside him.
Ankh: A Ho-oh! Obviously it had to be a firebird pokemon, and Ho-oh is described as having rainbow feathers, just like Ankh! It was weakened alongside Ankh, so to protect itself, it disguises itself as a Talonflame. (legendary pokemon can disguise themselves as normal pokemon because i say so)
Hina: Her Leavanny is always extremely helpful when she’s designing clothes. Its strong silk and sharp cutters make for an especially strong thread and clean fabric cut. It’s surprisingly strong for such a delicate looking pokemon, and won’t hesitate to fight back if it thinks Hina is being threatened.
Gotou: In his research and study of the medals, Kougami and his scientists managed to create a synthetic pokemon capable of changing its typing with a special device. only one of these creatures managed to survive past incubation, and was given to Gotou when he was promoted to lead a squadron. Gotou isn’t quite sure what to make of Type: Null, but sometimes it looks back at him with intelligent eyes from behind its mask, and Gotou wonders how much is being held back by its control mask.
Date: Despite its rough looks, Date’s Aggron is surprisingly friendly. Years of work in combat zones have left its metal hide a bit scuffed and worn, but Date tries to polish it up a bit when he can. It eats a lot too, and Date often has to pry cell medals out of its mouth after a battle before it eats too many.
Satonaka: Satonaka will battle, too, if she’s paid enough to do it. Her Tsareena is just as aloof as she is, and an extremely capable fighter. Even Date’s Aggron will flinch away from it. But their battling prowess doesn’t come cheap, and Satonaka insists on extra pay if any of Tsareena’s leaves get scuffed in a fight.
Ex-Aid Cast:
Emu: A Lucario. I couldn’t decide between this or Blaziken (it reminds me of Mighty, a little bit!) But Lucario’s empathetic abilities are a good match for Emu i think. For some reason, it acts really strange around Parad... maybe it senses something about him that Emu doesnt?
Parad: A Porygon, of course! It wouldn’t have any trouble following it’s friend into digital spaces. Kuroto designs the special discs Porygon needs to evolve for Parad.
Hiiro: A Gallade! There is nothing they cannot cut. Hiiro has a mega stone, but his own personal struggles prevent him and Gallade from mega evolution for much of the show.
Kiriya: Its GOTTA be a Cyclizar! C’mon, of course the bike man would have a bike pokemon. Kiriya’s Cyclizar is just as fun and upbeat as he is!
Taiga: Decidueye. It supports Snipe in combat with it’s sharpshooting quills. While it seems quite cool and aloof, it can often be seen fussing over Taiga when he’s in his office.
Nico: Nico’s Scrafty has as big of a temper as she does, and Emu is often an unfortunate target for it’s violent headbutts or kicks. It’s fiercely protective of Nico, and has a competitive streak from their esports days. Scrafty hates losing more than anything, so it often tries to start fights with Emu’s Lucario.
Poppy: A cute Sylveon! It’s good at helping patients calm down a little bit, and loves to dance with Poppy! Whon Poppy’s feeling a little down, her Sylveon will link it’s ribbons in her hands and try to cheer her up by instigating a dance.
Kuroto: A shiny Gengar. It’s leering smile and horrid laughter echo Kuroto’s. It becomes even more cruel and unnerving once they achieve mega evolution, relentlessly chasing Kiriya’s Cyclizar through the streets when it goes to find help.
Graphite: Graphite and his Charizard both enjoy testing themselves in combat. Graphite’s signature move burns just as hot as his Charizard’s flames! While capable of mega evolution, they prefer not to use it, only mega evolving when their opponent has proven themselves worthy.
Build Cast:
Sento: Isurugi says he found Metagross’ pokeball on Sento when he found him in the rain. It doesn’t seem to remember anything, either, so it navigates its new life with Sento one step at a time. An encounter with a Buneary earned Sento another companion, too! It’s often perched on Sento’s shoulder, and when they both get excited, both of Buneary’s ears stand on end.
Banjou: A Kommo-o! (its fighting and dragon type. it has to be a Kommo-o). They were legends in the ring, but after Banjou’s fall from grace, his Kommo-o refused to listen to him. It’s taken a while, but now that Banjou has found his reason to fight again, he and Kommo-o can finally fight together once more. When Banjou gets fired up, Kommo-o clangs its scales in reply.
Misora: A Spinda (because i think it kind of looks like that weird rabbit plush thing Misora has). Misora usually holds it in her arms, since it can be a little slow when it totters after her with its strange movements. After her collapse as a child, she found that a Shaymin followed her everywhere, too. It’s cute and unassuming, but sometimes the flowers on its back shake, like it’s reacting to some strange power...
Sawa: Sawa’s Chatot received training alongside her during their youth as Namba Children. It’s capable of advanced levels of speech pattern recognition, so Sawa will often leave it in unassuming places so her Chatot can eavesdrop and then repeat back to her everything it heard.
Kazumin: Mudbray and Tauros are common pokemon for farmers, and Kazumin’s Mudsdale has been his reliable partner since childhood. Years of farm work have build it’s already strong stamina into something almost untouchable. It stands stong, shrugging off powerful attacks like they’re nothing, and one stomp from Mudsdale’s hooves is enough to down almost any opponent.
Gentoku: Krookodile looks a bit intimidating, until you realize it can be just as silly as Gentoku can be. It shared his horrendous amazing fashion sense. Gentoku has sunglasses that match the dark markings around Krookodile’s eyes.
Evolt: Isurugi’s Dachsbun used to be at his side every second of the day, but for some reason it began to shy away from him. Now it snarls at him from time to time, and spends every moment with Misora instead.
After everything is revealed, a strange and unsettling pokemon started to accompany Evolt. Deoxys looms behind him, standing almost perfectly still, and it’s ever-shifting forms make it a tough opponent in combat.

AAAANYWAY. for those 5 ocs you were doing an oc ask meme about liiiike a week ago-- if they were in the pokemon world, what partner pokemon would each of them have? considering stuff like whether they would go catch lots of pokemon or not as well as what pokemon fits them best.
Agueda - Bisharp. not kingambit she has to prove herself first. Also she has a ekans. Agueda would go on a pokemon adventure but like only bcz selma wanted to lol. but in the end, she would end up enjoying it a lot more than Selma! And her starter is charmander bcz ofcourse shes a genwunner
Selma- rockruff she's too anxious to evolve, an eevee she's also too anxious to evolve (it ends up as a sylveon and the rockruff ends up as dusk form lycanroc) her starter is chikorita :) she goes on a pokemon adventure but she's like 25 when she does it and drags Agueda through the whole thing. She decides to stop after the first few gyms, content with how far she's come and probably would end up being like a travelling nurse joy tbh. And later in her journey she would get a mimikyu
Lilan- Champion at age 11. Blaziken, Dragonite, Scizor, Dusknoir, Toxitricity (highkey), Palafin. A real fuck you up team. But then she's also like lolll im just a lil silllay. She's doing side quests and trainers dont relize she's the Champion she's like "we gotta save that skiddo!!" and then flys you up on her dragonite and it's like. where did you get that. I thought you were just some person.
Tomoe and Meibh are an ace trainer pair you fight on the top of a mountain where no poke centers are nearby and they mess you up more than you thought they would. they have been travelling the world for years. they will never stop.
Meibh- chesnaught, lucario, and a mankey. he's just a lil guy
Tomoe- greninja, gothitelle, and a flittle. she's just a lil guy

WOOHOO, HEHEHE :> !!
FEAST YOUR EYES UPON THEM, organized in usual battle order!
☆ FANGZIE THE FLYGON, THE JOYFUL PILOT, is my ride, who can use Fly! Has quite a powerful command over Ground and draconic powers! Super duper shockingly speedy and quite strong, not too defensive but I'm only dealing with their first one out, and I ALWAYS get in the Tailwind!!
☆ ZEE THE ZANGOOSE, THE LOVING LIEUTENANT, can ice punch the flying types that give me so much trouble! I've gotta get an electric type aboard the ship. She's a support Pokemon doubling as a combatant who usually has a soothe bell on person, so I've given her Switcheroo to make the best of it! I haaaaaaaave gotten it stolen like this a few times, but I can make new ones myself! She also has Return and can Roar out tricky enemies or those setting up for big attacks!
☆ CRIMZON THE SCIZOR, THE DECISIVE MAWS, is a defensive fighter! We crafted a Shell Bell for her, she's a Technician and real great at it too! A variety of less raw power attacking moves with unique effects and priority (Bullet Punch deals with her lower speed fairly well, mwehehe!!)
☆ CADET THE DHELMISE, THE, UH, CADET!! They're a slow and kinda lazy feller, but I've trained them around those weaknesses! They've got some nasty attacks, but also Pain Split and draining attacks plus lots of defense training! Which for Cadet mostly translates into defensive accessories I made for them. I suppose I would have a hard time working on my training if I were a pile of seaweed possessing an anchor too!!
☆ ANGELO THE GALLADE, CAPTAIN OF ALL HEROISM, harnesses the power of MEGA EVOLUTION!! ...are we assuming that we're using Dynamax in this situation? EITHER WAY, I'm sure Angelo could handle just as well as a great giant! Otherwise I usually get in one Swords Dance then just go to town with Sacred Sword, Psycho Cut, and, if it comes down to it, Close Combat!
I'm interested to hear your strategy too!! I love strategy!! I spend a little bit too much time researching strategies!!!!!!!
...
...Hm.
Ehehe. Ehehehahem~
Ahem.
It seems this little development entirely slipped my attention. Apologies. Although Im sure you're all aware that I've been... considerably busy as of late.
I'm not surprised by this, of course. Breaking 200 followers should be trivial for an elite trainer such as me. It just goes to show that many of you have at least some semblance of taste~
Regardless, I suppose I ought to celebrate somehow. If for no other reason than to keep the lot of you entertained. Hmph... under normal circumstances, I'm loathe to openly share my strategies with others... however, perhaps I'll make an exception this once. Let's say that anyone who reblogs this post with their pokemon team will receive a detailed account of my opinions on each member, along with my assessment as to how I'd best them in battle. I'm sure you'll find it to be very informative~*○°☆

Starlight Express but it’s Pokemon Pt.1
So while playing Legends: Arceus earlier, and while listening to StEx because this show has taken ahold of my fixations, I had the random idea of coming up with Pokemon teams for as many characters from Starlight Express as I could.
Staring with Rusty, of course. I imagine him to be a Rock type specialist. His team is (from top left to bottom right): - Lycanroc, Minior, Carbink, Coalossal, Corsola, and Amaurus. - Lycanroc, because he has that golden retriever energy and also I feel like Rusty would love to have a dog companion while working shifts. - Coalossal, because he’s a Steam Engine and could probably benefit from a coal buddy - Amaurus, due to it being a fossil Pokemon, he probably feels a connection with them due to Steamers being considered old - Minior and Corsola, because they’re small pink cute Rock-types that remind him of his partner Pearl. Corsola also probably helps provide his boiler with water. - Carbink, as a small diamond in the rough just like Rusty :)
Next one I did, Greaseball! I immediately figured Steel-type Pokemon fit him best. His team is (from top left to bottom right): - Lucario, Scizor, Togedemaru, Steelix, Bisharp, and Duraludon. - As a whole his team is generally consisting of faster Steel types, apart from Steelix, which he probably has for intimidation purposes. - I felt Bisharp was an interesting addition as it’s a Steel/Dark type, in reference to the shady acts he pulls off during the Championships such as his gang beating up Rusty - Lucario is probably a training buddy for him due to being much more humanoid, and also probably a good Pokemon to help ground GB when he gets too egotistical. - Togedemaru is ironically the least intimidating member of his team, and yet it’s the fastest. It was likely a gift from Dinah that people question WHY he kept because it’s not tough or menacing. GB however actually really loves it and takes very good care of the smol ball.
And lastly, the superstar himself, Electra! I would have to be blind to not give him an Electric-type speciality. Their team is the definition of “gotta go fast” lmao Their team is (from top left to bottom right): - Shiny Furfrou, Pom-Pom Oricorio, Alolan Raichu, Jolteon, Zebstrika, and Boltund. - Jolteon, Zebstrika, and Boltund are all pure Electric-type Pokemon in reference to Electra himself being a pure-bred Electric Engine. - Pom-Pom Oricorio is Electric/Flying and while it’s the slowest member of the team, I added it because it’d be an excellent hype-Pokemon whenever Electra makes an entrance. - Alolan Raichu was added in reference to his magnetism capabilities. I know the obvious pick is to go for one of the Magnemite line since they’re literal MAGNETS, but they didn’t really fit the team aesthetic and are kind of slow, so the Electric/Psychic Alolan Raichu was added instead since psychic powers are close enough. - And lastly the non-Electric of the team, Furfrou. Probably a special pet gifted to him at some point, it’s incredibly loyal and is a Pokemon known for being owned by elites and royalty. It’s also a shiny Pokemon, making it VERY rare, fitting for the superstar. Electra probably has its fur styled regularly to make sure it’s in the best condition possible.
I plan to do some more of these in the future because they’re VERY fun to make. Maybe I’ll do some for the 2018 Update characters too like Elektra and BV. :D

Woah hey. Look at me baby. I’m scared as hell too but still it ain’t good to be.
Every gear in his head stops and starts trying to compute - everyone out on break.
Okay. Okay babygirl. You gotta take deep breathes.
He lets out your Glaceon and Flareon, who lick at your stomach to provide temperature relief.
Good girls. Okay. Shit. He punches at his hands to avoid the walls.
You got this Guzma. Keep your ass together. Scizor. Fly to get Nurse Joy and Audino as fast as you can. Seamstress, get those fuckin’ baby clothes piled, we’re gonna need em.
Sciz!!!
Baby… *you see his eyes run wild as cervical water drips*
Ya boi has you alright.
*I smile and hold your hands tightly*
I know. Thank you. I love you.

Oooo you're a Pokemon fan? Can you name some of your favourites? Here's mine Eevee and all apart from the fairy shite Eeveelutions, Psyduck (a underrated one but was my late mother's favourite) Ho-oh (love that bird) all of the water starters, Shaymin (my late mother again loved flowers) Arceus (a very cool legendary and I so want Legends Arceus out NOW haha) and that's all I can think about for now. Also promise me one thing that you will always love your mother, because I miss mine deeply :'(!
Oooh, I totally am!! Growing up, Pokemon was THE thing on the playgrounds! It was one of those games that helped me learn German actually so I am thankful for the existence of this game series for a multitude of reasons and this is certainly one of the major points!!!
Some of my favorites ... oof. That is difficult but I try my best!
Just as a side note, my favorite edition is Pokemon Ruby for the Gamebody Advance! It was the first pokemon game that I bought from my own money and I ordered it from the US!
I think I'll go from generation to generation!
Gen 1: Certainly Pikachu! Just incredibly adorable and I thought wielding the power of lightning was incredibly impressive to me!
Gen 2: That one is difficult but I thought it was MIND blowing to me that they've introduced pre-stages and new evolutions to already established pokemon. At that time, people were SO hyped for things like steelix and all the baby pokemon. But I think Scizor is still taking the cake for me for coolest, newest design! But a runner up would've been Espeon/Umbreon !
Gen 3: Aaaah, my favorite edition. Hands down, my favorite Pokemon(s) are ...
Snorunt and Glalie!! Yes! Indeed! Super unusual but when I got them, they were both the cutest and then evolving to one of the fiercest looking monsters! I was a big fan of Glalie because his head reminds me of a japanese super mech which show I watched called Getter Robo! Look him up, the resemblance is uncanny!
Gen 4: I gotta give it to Honchkrow, what a great design! Not much to say about that except the fact that I love the dandy hat!
Gen 5: There is something about Ramoth that gives me big kaiju vibes, a Mothra-type pokemon is just super cool in my opinion and it took me some time to find out how to get this pokemon!
Gen 6: Greninja! Also a super cool design and a great starter to pick! I didn't get the "fantasy rpg character" design they went with, like the three starter pokemon representing typical rpg classes? But I guess ninja counts as thief?! Weird, game freak, really weird lol.
Gen 7: This gen has SOOO many great designs!!! But I am pretty sure it's Salazzle, especially the shiny version is a really cool pokemon and it took me ages to get one :)
Gen 8: .... really difficult because I didn't find a lot of Pokemon from this edition were really good?? The closest one is a bit of a cop-out because it's an evolution of a Gen 1 pokemon and it's Sirfetch’d! Just a really neat idea!
Thank you for your anon! You also have a really neat list of picks there! Arceus is indeed a really cool legendary and I think probably one of my most favorite too :)

Top Bug Pokes By Gen
So I thought I would next discuss my favorite pokes in each type. The problem is, it’s tricky narrowing down to just ONE in your favorite type. ;____;
As such, I’m going to cheat for this first type (bug) and pick a favorite out of EACH generation of games.
Gen 1 - Parasect
It has to be Parasect. This is not a popular choice, and I know it. Parasect’s typing (Bug/Grass) makes it a very difficult poke to use. I’m not going to deny that. I’m also not going to try and deny its rather lackluster set of stats.
Paras and Parasect are really special to me, though. I still remember when I was a kid, playing Pokemon for the first time, and running into a Paras in Mount Moon. That awesome little sprite and its etheral cry (incidentally, a cry deemed cool enough to also be used on Mew) filled me with such a sense of fascination and wonder, as did its relative rarity. I’d been wandering around the cave for ages and didn’t expect to run into anything new, and especially nothing so alien and cool-looking. I immediately added it to my team and brought him all the way to the Elite Four, where he joined the Hall of Fame. Lackluster stats didn’t hold him back from being a useful and valuble member of the team.
I named him Sopea. I’m not sure why. I just made up a word, and it sounded like it suited him.
Paras and Parasect remain possibly my favorite bug type to this day. It is a bug with a parasitic fungus that gradually consumes it, and that is fascinating as heck. A zombiebug, basically. That’s why its eyes are white. There are real species that are preyed upon by parasitic fungi, which ‘control’ their insect hosts, and it’s a truly fascinating thing I strongly suggest looking up sometime. :)
Anyway, my second-favorite of gen 1 is probably Venomoth or Scyther. I love them both a lot. I don’t care for Scizor’s design too much, despite its popularity in the meta game.
Gen 2 - Heracross
I mentioned before how I’m not super-attached to Gen 2. I never played it as a kid (after gen 1 I didn’t play pokemon for many years), so there’s no nostalgia factor for me. I honestly often forget which pokemon originated in gen 2, in fact. Regardless, Heracross is definitely the coolest bug type from that era. Other than Sun/Moon’s funky Ultra Beasts, his typing is entirely unique. A Fighting bug type is truly awesome, and his design is really beautiful. Simple but elegant, with an adorable little smirk, and a really cool species in real life.
Gen 3 - Shedinja
Yes, I think most can agree, Shedinja is a novelty poke. Yes, he’s not actually useful in battle except in extremely circumstantial situations. I know. I don’t flippin’ care. He’s adorable, and the idea behind him is amazing. Spooky ghost pokemon that’s the discarded shell of a cicada? Something that literally will swallow your SOUL if you look into the empty hole in its back? Sign me the fuck up, ayyy. Again, a totally unique typing, and I can’t help but adore him. Cicadas in general are awesome, and if I can’t pick Shedinja as my favorite from this gen, I would choose its bouncier, livelier partner, Ninjask.
Gen 4 - Kricketune
I know you givin’ me an ugly look for this choice. And I’m not gonna bother trying to convince you he’s useful in battle.
But he’s got swag. Dele-dele-whoop, bitch.
(Look, gen 4 was pretty bad for new bug types, so gimme a break)
Gen 5 - Galvantula
Gen 5 had some fantastic bug types, but the prize probably has to go to this crazy electric tick-and-then-spider. Joltik is adorable AS FCK and its evo is awesome AS FCK. I had one on my team during my run of White, and I loved the thing to absolute bits. Once again, before SuMo its typing was totally unique, and I was beside myself with excitement for getting a badass electric tarantula. This speedy spider will run laps around the unfortunately clunky Vikavolt, and I’m happy to see him sometimes used competitively as well (though usually just as a sticky web lead, but compound eyes + thunder is still a tasty combo that’ll pack a punch).
My second-best for gen 5 is reeeeeally hard to say. That gen was definitely the best in terms of getting awesome new bug types (FFS, we even got a Mythical Bug type, and Volcarona), and probably the best for bug lovers of ALL the gens.
Gen 6 - Vivil– oh uhh this is awkward
Yeah, that’s the only new bug type that gen. Needless to say, not the best gen for bug catchers, BUT not the worst either maybe?? Because we DID get a bug type with a TON of forms to collect, and I have to admit, I had a good time collecting them. I still don’t have those special event forms though. ;___; Oh Pokeball Vivillon, someday you will be mine. Also, Scatterbug/Spewpa are the cutest caterpillar/chrysalis forms. (Sewaddle comes close, admittedly)
Gen 7 - HELP I CAN’T CHOOSE
I mean come on, we have an insanely badass isopod thing (with an adorable AF first evo) or a super-adorable fairy-bug thing (with an adorable AF first evo). I gotta tell you, it was pure agony during my run of Moon, because I wanted both on my team so badly. I didn’t put both, because I wanted a more diverse team than that, but it really, really hurt leaving little Wimpod behind. They are both so fantastic.
This is a repost on a new blog. The original post was on Feb 19, 2017.

Hey dude. Me and 3 of my friends are competitive trainers with our own main Pokemon for battles that we bond with on a pretty regular basis. Training, strolling, regular check ups, the like. I like to think we’re pretty close with each other considering how busy we were with our own schedules for training to compete, but looking back, we didn’t hang out as often as we wanted. (1)
Not going too into the details here, but soon we’re gonna have a bunch of time freed up so we can hang out way more than before in the long run. I’m just worried about my Scrafty Jojo- he’s a chill and observant Pokemon, but I’m worried about how he’ll get along with my other bros’ mains.
The mons I’m worried about is a Toxicroak, Scizor, and Bisharp. The first is a lil mischievous and cheeky, but is pretty cool with younger mons and knows when to cut it out. Loves being active most of the time- fighting is great for him. The second is pretty serious and keeps to himself, and is p diligent in his training like his trainer. The third is the same. Keeps a careful watch over any sort of danger and from what I heard from my bro, is pretty fierce when there’s a threat.
Since we all hung out occasionally, I’m not sure how the four will all interact with each other- especially long term. Is there anything about any of the individual species that I gotta look out for in the future? I really want them to get along since our mons are a p significant part of our lives. If they’re enemies, that’s gonna be a huge strain on our group friendship and I really missed my friends.
That’s quite an eclectic group you’ve got there! The first thing you should be asking yourself is, “How well are my friends’ Pokémon trained?” If your friends are well-established Trainers with strong bonds and good caretaker methods, which they seem to be, that’s the first- and biggest- hurdle overcome. Well-trained and happy Pokémon are friendly Pokémon!
If you’d like to minimize the rick of aggression further, I would recommend introducing these Pokémon to each other in a wide, open place that they’re all at least decently familiar with. Make sure you’re all very present while they meet, and recall at the first sign of aggression. Greeting your friends in an openly cheerful manner will also help your own Pokémon understand that these people- and their companions- are friends.
None of the species here are needlessly territorial, although Bisharp could be an issue under any kind of threat, as they’re extremely protective. However, from what you’ve said, I doubt you’ll have any issue as long as you’re careful. Good luck, and have fun with your friends!

diamond and pearl anime talk (dp006 to dp008)
DP006 - Different Strokes for Different Blokes
- paul @ ash:
- dang paul actually called a pokémon his friend. wild. (i mean it was a throwaway line but still :V)
- still really like turtwig’s personality. i like how it listens to ash when being told to attack and heal but refuses to dodge, sets the stage for its development nicely
- james [motto voice]: when everything’s worse, our work is complete! paul: ember! jessie [motto voice]: ember! jessie & james: ...ember!? [set on fire]
- still really like this genre of visual gag for no reason, where they’re leaning out of the balloon from far away but become real big so you can see their facial expressions skdsf:
- ah, i see, the waterfall i predicted was just delayed by one episode :V
- ASH REMEMBERS SOMETHING FROM A PREVIOUS EPISODE...SUCH A RARE SIGHT TO SEE tho it’s completely understandable why they dont bring continuity up often to make everything accessible to newcomers
- ive never really been a fan of “the heroes have to figure out everything they’re experiencing is a dream/illusion and escape it” episodes in any series tbh...they always follow the same structure and the structure itself is kinda repetitive & bland djsdkf. thankfully this one doesnt really follow that structure for too long
- out of all the new VAs for the dub after battle frontier, i still havent quite gotten used to ash and brock...everyone else feels pretty normal to me by now skdffdf
- paul even has a black and grey pokédex...what an edgy boy
- the way anime characters break apples perfectly in half like it’s nothing will never cease to amaze me
- LMAO THE WAY THAT THE BEEDRILL JUST DO A COMPLETE 180 THE MOMENT THEY SEE URSARING. THEY DONT EVEN TURN THEY JUST...FLIP FRAMES INTO THE OTHER DIRECTION
- fun fact, apparently ursaring was called the “hibernant” pokémon in gen 2 instead of the hibernation pokémon
- HELL YEAH THAT GOOD MUSIC THAT REAL GOOD SHIT HELL YEA HELL YEA HELL Y--
DP007 - Like It or Lup It!
- ive heard a lot of hate for dawn’s piplup but honestly? i havent found any reason to dislike it yet
- this episode is an allegory for how capitalists [team rocket] drive a wedge between the working class [the ludicolo crew vs the golduck crew] in order to hoard an immorally large amount of wealth [the berries] for themselves
- This Episode Was Very Silly
DP008 - Gymbaliar!
- i...i do not get the title im sorry dkfsdkfds
- ...i finally understand why bonemerang hits twice wOW
- is that the croagunk i think it is 👀
- the way meowth says “blue” in “leave me alone you blue brat” is weird
- “say whatever you like, but must it be with such a puss on?” ...EXCUSE ME?????
- god that was a long pre-opening scene
- ...OH IT’S A PUN ON JAMBALAYA, GYM, AND LIAR. I WAS READING IT AS “gym-bal-ee-ur” KFDSF
... i dont really get where the jambalaya comes into play tho :V
- sandslash’s anime voice is Excellent
- minnie: “take care of scizor!” james: “like one of our own.” the writing in this anime...........................................Masterful
- you know, when team rocket is battling ash it’s usually with a robot, or with multiple pokémon at once, or just otherwise a weird/unfair/not typical fight. seeing them do a completely normal 1v1 battle (even if it is just a ploy) is actually pretty refreshing
- ...i have no clue what word they say when starly breaks open their balloon skdfdsf
- gotta be honest, croagunk going with brock is kinda out of left field in the context of the episode. i love how low-key the capture is tho kdsffk
- the purple on croagunk’s fingertips is a lot shorter when using poison jab on brock, indicating it’s less powerful than usual, so i guess croagunk does care about him :V
